Tier protection and downgrades
Tiers recalculate on the first of each quarter. If you fall below the threshold for one month, nothing changes. If you fall below for the whole quarter, you drop one tier — not all the way to Bronze. A long break (90 days no play) drops you two tiers.
Diamond-tier players who hold tier for a full year get tier lock — the tier is preserved through one calendar quarter of inactivity, useful for travel or planned breaks.

Can I move up faster by depositing more?
Tier is based on wagering volume, not deposit volume. You can deposit £10,000 but if you cash out without playing, your AP stays at zero.

Is there a "secret" Diamond Elite tier above Diamond?
